Susan Newsome, RN, Susan is a Registered Nurse who attended the University of North Georgia in Dahlonega, GA to fulfill a life-long desire to become an informed advocate for the healthcare needs of her community. After graduation, she worked in a private practice office as a triage nurse and clinical supervisor. Prior to studying nursing, Susan received her BA in English Language and Literature from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor.
Additionally, she earned a Master’s Degree in Library Science from the University of Pittsburgh. Susan has spent many years working with, and serving, all ages of the community as a librarian and nurse. Susan grew up in Michigan, but has also called Pennsylvania, New Mexico, Indiana, and Georgia, home. She and her husband have a blended family of four children, including two teenage girls, two adult children, and two poorly behaved dogs. Susan enjoys reading, cheering for Michigan football, and cooking.
